Class Summary
Mr Hafiz let us watch a video about how to make 3D shape in illustrator. After the exercise we were briefed about our next project is to design a poster of the competition of My Tiger Value.
1. 3D Rainbow
From today's class I have learn on how to use 3D materials in Adobe Illustrator. It is a very new and interesting tool for me, it makes 2D arts turn into 3D with just a click. Besides, we can also change the materials looking by using the tool. The first practice is for us to draw out a rainbow and turn it into 3D shapes. First, we draw out the rainbow by using shapes and use pathfinder to make the shape similar to rainbow.
After the rainbow practice, Mr Hafiz let us have a try on turning the word FLORA. First, I turn the word into 3D. Next, I change the materials of the word into the wood material and also added some shadow. We also learn a new technique that is to make the leaves to look like getting through the word using the tool intertwine.
Ideation✨
For the Project 2 of my assignment is Illustrated Type. I have done the sketch in week 4 and I decide to add on some details and turn it into 3D after learning new skills.

Fig 5.10 Snail Final Design
For the Design of the letter Snail, I use the letter I and l to be the feeler of the snail. and the letter s is the back shell of it. I use red colour as the shell design and beige colour as the body, for the background I use blue to be the sky colour. I love the creative of this design, it is interesting to let the words be more designed. I also added some leaves through the word as snails love to eat leaves.
